In addition to adopting a phonics program district-wide, Spring Hill ISD has also adopted a phonemic awareness program for kindergarten through third grade. Heggerty Phonemic Awareness helps our students understand that all words are made up of sounds. Through this program, students not only learn that words are made up of individual sounds, but they also learn how to blend, segment, and manipulate sounds.
