Spring Hill ISD is asking voters to consider two ballot items in the upcoming election:
- A Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) for district operations.
- A Bond Proposal for facility maintenance and improvements.
Both measures are designed to address current and future needs of students, staff, and the community.
VATRE INFORMATION - PROPOSITION A
With the Voter-Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE), voters will be asked to consider a three-cent increase to the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) tax rate that would generate approximately $304,000 in funding for school district operations. This includes teacher and staff compensation, instructional materials, student support services, and extracurricular activities.
BOND INFORMATION - PROPOSITIONS B, C, D
The bond package consists of three separate propositions designed to address educational and extracurricular facility maintenance needs.
Proposition B - Cost: $17,222,744
- Renovations to the Junior High School
- HVAC system replacements
- Replacement of buses
- Updates to the baseball/softball complex - turf replacement as warranted by safety protocols
Proposition C - Cost: $1,975,000
- Updates to Panther Stadium - turf replacement as warranted by safety protocols, lighting upgrades
Proposition D - Cost: $802,256
- Improvements to the tennis complex - restroom facility upgrades
The bond package is designed to address these important facility maintenance needs without increasing the district’s current Interest & Sinking (I&S) tax rate.
